Repairing the Damage: Love against Anti-Semitism

Alan* is one of my Israeli contacts in Berlin. He is drawn to Jesus and thinks that He is one of the most misunderstood people in history.

One of his major stumbling blocks is the anti-Semitism he’s seen in the history of the church.

But Alan hasn’t taken the vital step of committing his life to Jesus. One of his major stumbling blocks is the anti-Semitism he’s seen in the history of the church. I explained that true believers wouldn’t act this way, but he was very skeptical. So when two young Dutch Christians, who have a heart for Israel and our people, came to town, I thought it would be good for us all to connect.

Alan sat in amazement as these young Christian men explained the love for our people. They told stories about Dutch Christians who had gone through the Holocaust in order to save our people. Then they demonstrated their love by giving him a wonderfully ornate Bible. Alan was overcome and didn’t know how to react. He told me on the phone afterwards that he hadn’t been ready for such an intense encounter.

Please pray with me that God uses these things to open Alan’s heart to commit his life to following Jesus.
